Strength of the false teaching
The Holy Scripture says that in the
last days there will be false prophets, false teachers, false Christs, and
false apostles. The teaching that goes out of the mouth of such thieves is
false teaching. The Holy Scripture says to beware of it. Because the desire for
money, the desire of the world, the lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh
have a strength to turn away from the faith, similarly there is a strength for
the false teaching to separate us from the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us meditate
on this prophetic message in a bit more detail on how that strength will be and
what will be the result if a believer and the church suffer from false
doctrine.
The apostle Paul preached the gospel
of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Galatians. When he first preached the gospel,
they welcomed him as an angel of God and as Christ Jesus. They did not despise
his weakness. They were very happy and thirsty about Paul. If it were possible,
they would have torn out the two eyes and given to him. Their affection was
more than Paul could witness (Galatians 4:15). As the days passed, false
teachings entered into them. The confusing spirit entered into them and started
Confusing what is grace? What is the Law? What is circumcision? The strength of
false doctrine has confused them greatly.
Finally, they saw Paul as the enemy
for the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ. They presumptuously claim him to be
the devil. Those who had initially ready to tear their eyes for Paul, now claim
to be the enemy. This is the strength of false doctrine.
Even today we can see the power of such
false teaching in the Church. One would have been initially poor, stranger, and
consigned to death. The servant would have been a cause to save him by
preaching the gospel. Now he has been saved. He will listen to everything the
servant says. Whatever servant asks, he would give him an offering and tithe.
As the days passed on, when false doctrine enters into his spiritual life, he
will see the servant who has saved him as an enemy. "What is he
preaching?" He will begin to speak out against him and eventually leave
the congregation. This is the strength of false teaching.
This does not allow to make a union with
God's servants. It is not just separate the unity with the servants, but also
separates them from God. Heavenly privilege will be uprooted. Therefore, church
people and believers must be alert to the false doctrine of the end times.
Otherwise, it will divide the servants and believers. The one saved by the
servants will change as much as to ask if he is a servant. Let us, therefore,
pray vigilantly that the false doctrine of the last days should not come into
the congregation. Let’s resist that.
