It is the spirit of Herodias that reflects Herodias' nature and motivates her actions. Who is this Herodias? Herodias was the wife of Philip, the ruler of the tetrarch of Iturea. She belongs to the family of the ruler. Philip was the brother of Herod, who ruled over the tetrarch of Galilee.

This Herodias had an illicit relationship with Herod, her husband's brother. She desired to start a family with him. So, she seduced him with her word, deceived him, and began living with him. He also married her despite the fact that she was his brother's wife. It is the work of Herodias' spirit that gives the desire to love and live with another man or the husband of another woman despite the fact that she has her own husband.

It was under these circumstances that the prophet John the Baptist went to Herod and said that it was not lawful for you to have your brother's wife. Only the prophets would boldly confront such sins head-on. When he said this, Herod ordered that John be arrested and bound and imprisoned. Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him.

Why to think like this? What provoked her to the point of murdering a prophet? Herod recognized that John the Baptist was righteous and holy. So he feared him, protected him, listened to him willingly, and did many things according to his idea. Knowing this, Herodias feared that he would teach holiness and separate the illicit partner from her. So she plotted against John to kill and destroy him. It is the work of Herodias' spirit to kill and destroy anyone who interferes with illicit love.

Then, one day she got a chance. Herod celebrated his birthday. So He gave a banquet for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee. When they were all at the banquet, Herodias' daughter came in and performed a dance that greatly fascinated Herod and his guests. Then he said to the little girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”

Immediately the little girl ran out and asked her mother, 'What shall I ask?' By using this, Herodias could have asked for half of the kingdom, money, possessions, and status, but, without even asking for one of them, she only asked to cut off the head of John the Baptist, who had interfered with her illicit love. She has no desire for money or property. Instead, she had only one desire to live a life of theft. It is the spirit of Herodias who takes the husbands of others in this manner and is willing to lose anything for it.

Immediately, the little girl came to Herod and asked him to give the head of John the Baptist. When Herod heard that, he was greatly distressed. He didn't like it. Yet, because of the vows he had made in front of his guests, he couldn’t refuse her. So he immediately sent an executioner to the prison to cut off John’s head and bring it to him. His head is cut off accordingly. In order to live an immoral life, the prophet was beheaded. He was murdered.

Even in these last days, the spirit of Herodias works terribly. We should pray diligently that this spirit should not affect our congregation, family, or relatives. We must resist this spirit in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Well, how does Herodias' spirit work? What are the signs? And only if we know that we can easily resist and win. Let us meditate continuously on what are the signs of Herodias spirit.

Signs of Herodias' Spirit attack:

 1. Knowing that he is another's husband, and fully aware that he has a wonderful wife and children, yet the attraction, desire, love, lust, etc. that come upon him are the signs of this spirit.

2. This spirit incites the woman to secretly help another married man with money and jewelry, from time to time, without her husband's knowledge.

3. It is an indication of this spirit if getting thoughts of, "It's alright to lose the wonderful life, good husband, children, honor, respect, property, prestige, money, etc.,  but it's enough to live with him."

4. She has all the comforts and good work, but for the sake of not getting caring from her own husband, when she expects caring, affection, and longing of another married man is a sign of this spirit.

5. Getting thoughts of, "It's alright if the married man doesn't openly accept me, still I will live with him in secret," is a sign of this spirit.

6. “Live with your wife and your children; I will live with my husband and children, but still, let there be a secret love within us; We will remain an intimate lover unknown to anyone" - one of the works of this spirit.

7. Doing the deeds to satisfy the lusts of the flesh is the spirit of prostitution and fornication. Beyond this, it is the spirit of Herodias that gives the thinking and zeal to live secretly or openly with the other married man, without considering the hunger of the flesh.

8. It is the spirit of Herodias that gives the thinking to kill and destroy anyone who stands as an obstacle or hindrance to illicit love, as well as gives thoughts that they are no longer required, whoever they may be.

9. It is Herodias' spirit that zealously tells the other married man, "If I live, I will live only with you."

10. The married man says to another woman, "I will give you money, leave me," but without considering money and property; she adamantly says, "Don't want money, want to live with you alone," is the work of the spirit of Herodias.

All of the above are signs of Herodias' spirit. If such signs are found in our lives, or our church, or our family, we must immediately rebuke them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the blood of Jesus Christ. Do this continuously until you get true deliverance.

(Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit... This is a precious secret. Meditate on this again and again. SHARE more with your friends, it will be a blessing to you)
